Direct sales marketing takes on many forms. The Internet has greatly influenced the way in which products are promoted and has required business owners to completely rethink their strategies. Direct selling has benefited from these newer forms of marketing in a big way because they lend themselves to the complete idea of becoming self-employed and make the entire process of marketing and promotion much easier.

Successful consultants will take advantage of all forms of marketing in order to guarantee an unlimited number of leads coming in at all times. It’s all about strategy and about keeping up.

Direct Selling & Social Media

Blogging is another very popular method of online marketing and a part of the bigger picture of social media.   Blogs are everywhere and they provide businesses with an easy and convenient means of sharing information. More direct selling companies should allow their teams to blog.  Imagine if every one on your direct sales team was blogging about keyword rich topics to your niche.

Social media as we all know it is another important form of online marketing. There are many social networking sites out there and they are all being used for both personal and business purposes. This can actually be of great benefit to business owners because it will allow them to reach a wider range of people all at one time.

One very useful tool that should be included in your direct sales training for online marketing is commenting on other blogs in the relevant niche. This has become a very popular marketing tool and is used by businesses of all types. The idea is to find websites of other businesses relevant to yours and use them to help bring visitors to your site and ultimately help sell your product.

An overall team meeting training topic could be on how to use social media and blogging to generate business interest and still stay within the guidelines of company policy.

Marketing Meeting Themes

Fun Team Meeting themes keep your sales consultants coming back for more. Every team meeting should have a segment or topic on marketing. More traditional means of team training would include marketing tools such as utilizing people around you to spread the word. This would include friends, family members and neighbors. Don’t forget plain word of mouth. The more good things people have to say about you and your team the more business you will receive as a result. You can’t use too many methods and you should never discount a particular one unless you have seen first-hand it does not work.
