Tip of the Week
According to statistics provided by the Social Security Board; “85 out of 100 people reaching the age of 65 do not possess as much $250.00 and only 2% are financially independent.“ Does that surprise you? It certainly surprised me!
The good news is you can decide today NOT to be one of the 85 out of 100! You can choose today to be one of the 2% who are financially independent.
Have you dreamed about being financially secure? Having a different lifestyle? Perhaps you are even now, desperate to eliminate the financial pressure you are under. Paying the bills is a struggle and trying to visualize being in a place where small luxuries are affordable is nearly impossible.
Well known author and speaker Zig Ziglar says: “When you can’t see that far, go a little ways, and when you get there, you’ll be able to see further.” We are in the direct sales business. That means we CAN impact our income. If you can’t see a six figure income right now, and the choices that income would provide, can you see increasing your income by $200 a month? Could you begin to pay $200 toward your credit card debt each month and start eliminating that stressful debt hanging over your head? If you could increase your income by $200, would you be able to see and believe a $500 income increase was possible? In 23 years I have worked with hundreds of women who started their business with no great skill to speak of and yet were able to grow their incomes to $30,000 - $275,000. I have also worked with thousands of people who never earned more than a $100 to $200 dollars a month. Why do some people stop at $100, others at $30,000 and still others move on to fabulous incomes and unbelievable lifestyles? There are many reasons, but one of the biggest is lack of belief. What if I don’t make it? What if I fail? I’m not as good as she is, as funny, or pretty or organized… the list of reasons we can’t be successful can go on and on. One of my favorite quotes is, “I believe success is achieved by ordinary people with extraordinary determination.” I’ve heard this from so many speakers that I’m not sure who the originator was. I am certain it is a very powerful message. One I have learned to be true. As I said, it wasn’t that the super successful people I have worked with over the years had any great talent, myself certainly included, but they were willing to step out of their comfort zone, and stick with it. It wasn’t that they didn’t make mistakes, or experience failures. It WAS that they didn’t quit. As they began to see small successes, their belief and confidence grew. One of my all time favorite speakers, Jim Valvano, says “God must have loved ordinary people, because He made so many of us.” That quote often gives me great comfort! The first key to unlocking your potential and achieving the kind of success you were designed to achieve is to “focus on the next step.” Dare to dream big dreams, but start today to focus on the next step to get there. “Go a little ways and when you get there you’ll be able to see further.” That’s because your belief and confidence has grown. What is your next step? Getting a strong calendar and increasing your sales? Recruiting your first consultant? Moving to the first level of leadership? Moving up in the ranks of leadership? Whatever your next step is, focus on that step, commit to yourself to achieve it and watch your belief and confidence in yourself grow as you reach that “next step”. Then you’ll be able to see further….to your next step.

Direct Sales Master, Suzan Hart: "Fast Start for New People"
Born in Port of Spain, Trinidad, Suzan Hart at the age of 5 immigrated to Canada with her family, where they settled in a small college town in eastern Quebec. The youngest daughter of Lorna Gordon, Suzan believes she gets her determination, drive, and “never give up” attitude from watching her mother triumph and create diamonds from coal. Suzan Hart is definitely a woman on a mission.
