This Month's CD of the Month Features Yvette Ulloa

Topic:  "Prospecting that Works"

Yvette Ulloa has been very passionate about her direct sales business, personal growth and paying it forward. Five short years ago, she and her husband were in “nowhere” land where they had no dreams, were living paycheck to paycheck, 70,000 in debt and very unhappy with their lives. Yvette was a government employee and her husband a police officer for the LAPD. They never saw each other because of their long work hours and their marriage was on the rocks. They knew there was more to life, and decided to take action and start their own business. Starting part time while working 60 hour weeks, Yvette focused on receiving training and working on herself. She lives by the motto of “Work harder on yourself than you do on your business, as success is attracted by the person you become.” In four short years, Yvette has experienced massive business success in their life, leading a successful sales force of over 10,000 members to multi-million dollars in production in the online travel and technology industry. She and her husband have received two free cars paid for by the company, a Porsche and a maserati, and she makes fun of herself and the fact that she still can’t pronounce her car names, thus providing proof that it is possible for anyone to make it big in this industry, even with no business experience. Dave and Yvette not only created success in business, but also brought back passion in their marriage and after ten years of marriage, they have an incredibly passionate life together. They have decoded their formula to success and are now teaching people step by step how to create the right mindset to have a successful life, but also lead a fulfilled journey and enjoy every step of the way, including having a passionate relationship, being healthy and fit, and successful! Yvette received the Business Mastery Award from John Assaraf (featured in the secret), was featured in the power of mentorship with Bob Proctor from the Secret, and was recently interviewed for a movie with the organization Heroes for Humanity. She and her husband are internationally acclaimed speakers, having taught over 100,000 people how to build wealth all over the world. Their goal is now to pay it forward and make a difference in people’s lives.

Yvette Ulloa Talk about the magic of 45-15. This is my favorite and best item to accomplish things on a daily basis. Multi-tasking is great but a lot of times leads nowhere because nothing got completed. This is exactly the opposite. You take 45 minutes to work on a specific task such as following up with the prospects you met. You turn off all distractions inclusding checking email, text, phone, etc and you dedicate your full attention and presence to one task. In 45 minutess you will be surprised at how much you accomplished! And then you take a 15 min break and you play, have fun, relax, etc!

All entrepreneurs -- women in particular -- are happy to pass along referrals to their friends and colleagues, but they are much more likely to refer you if you have taken a sincere interest in them first. Here’s a great way of connecting with someone at a networking event: you could ask, "June, how would I know if someone I'm talking to would be a good prospect for you and your business?" By taking this open approach and asking them about their business first, will go a long way toward building a trusting, solid relationship.
