Topic:  "Helping Women See Direct Selling as the Best Option "

Lorna began her professional life as an award-winning documentary film producer. She is the co-author of a book about women’s history; a contributor to “Build it Big” a how-to book by the Direct Selling Women’s Alliance and is about to release an ebook with DSWA’s head of diversity, British Ford-Hill. That book “The Absolute Best Way in the World for African-American Women to Make Money” is a sister book to “The Absolute Best Way in the World for Women to Make Money”.

She taught at universities in Canada and the USA, ran a commercial film production company and later bought a training franchise where she taught others to set and achieve goals. But it wasn’t until she entered the world of Direct selling that she was paid what she was worth.

She has consistently earned a six figure income for the past decade and has become a very enthusiastic proponent of this profession for women. She lives in Atlanta, GA with her architect husband, George Hornbein.

5 Tips for Presentation Skills & Networking Success

  1. Strategy! Decide on your presentation skills objective in advance. Focus on the key types of people you need to meet.
  2. Partner! Networking events are great places to find like-minded partners with whom you can target specific industries or act as sources of referrals.
  3. Image! People judge you by your appearance. A jacket with crisp lines gives you stature and authority. Focus on your presentation skills.
  4. Network! Strike up conversations with strangers and perfect your presentation skills.
  5. Exit! Ending a conversation at the six-minute mark is perfectly appropriate so you can both go on and meet others.
