Consistency Pays In Business!

Sometimes when we try something new we look for instant gratification!

We also look for it when we start a business. Often we have the mentality that, I’m open and ready for business now my phone will be ringing and my website will be blowing up.

So we start to tell people and we check frantically to see if people are ordering or inquiring. Sometimes it works out that we get some bites early and then we are excited.  The reality is sometimes it takes some time to get the ball rolling.  Many get frustrated early and give up because of the lack of instant success.

What is the answer to this problem?

It’s to stay consistent! Although it may seem like you’re spinning your wheels with no success, you never know the results that could come in the future.  Why? Because over time you will get better with your approach to the business and also networking skills.

In the meantime you should educate yourself in your business and continue to learn from successful people. This doesn’t always mean exclusive to the company that you are representing.  Rather you can seek out other gurus that provide the basics that can work with any company.

During the time that you’re being educated, your confidence will grow.  Believe it or not, people will take notice. Also you will not feel the need to hound people to learn about your business or to try your product.  Instead, you will actually draw people to you.

This is why it is so important to remain consistent because once all of this occurs you want to be ready for your customers.  You don’t want to have to tell people six months later that you are no longer in business.  This will also give people the impression that you made an uneducated decision that you couldn’t follow up on.  Many people already feel that they don’t have what it takes to succeed at selling or in this business period and they will guess that you didn’t have it either.

So stay consistent in your learning how to conduct your business and being determined to work your business. Don’t give up on yourself!

Get More Visitors To Your Direct Sales Blog

Using Contests to Create Engagement On Your Blog

A blog is kind of like a chicken.

Which came first the chicken or the egg? No one really knows…..

Which came first the Google results or the visitors?

Google Judges Your Blog On Visitors And Engagement

In order to show up in the search engines you must impress Google. Among 1000 other things Google  judges each page on it’s activity and engagement. You need activity on your direct sales blog to get Google to see you as being important. That is activity like:

  • regular posting (minimum would be weekly)
  • regular visitors
  • regular comments or engagement

Hold Contests Or Polls

There’s a reason so many blog owners have those seemingly worthless polls and surveys on their blogs.

direct sales blog It’s not that they care so much about what peoples’ favorite colors or whether they prefer cats or dogs, the whole drive behind these types of activities is based around just one thing- engagement.

An engaging direct sales blog is a blog that people like to check in on because their opinions or activity counts, and a blog where people feel like they matter is a blog that gets lots of traffic.

As a blog owner, following basic business blog tips is essential to ensuring that your online business stays thriving as long as it can. Engaging your audience and helping them stay motivated to follow your business can be as simple as a goofy survey, or you could really go out of your way and keep your fans coming back by doing a contest. A contest is a great way to maintain and increase your blog’s traffic, without a lot of promotion or advertising. When you have a lot more traffic without a lot of money involved, the end result is great potential profit for your business and your blog.

Pick a contest that is easy enough to win, encourages customer feedback, and has an actual prize. Many business blog tips revolve around marketing strategies, like referring the most people to your blog or service and ending in a prize. A contest in which customer feedback and involvement in your business is important is a contest that is sure to please anyone you are trying to engage.

Make sure the prize is something that makes your business look good as well as being something the winner can actually use. A common contest winning prize is a gift certificate to the hosting company’s services. This way, you engage your fan base on your blog and reward them with things they already know and love.

However you choose to do your contest, whether you go all out or just ask for simple suggestions, make sure you have an engaging approach to keep people coming back for more. Once your blog starts getting the recognition you are after, you can increase your contests to create even higher traffic than you could have ever imagined.

Promote Your Direct Sales

No matter how enticing the contest or sweepstakes, if people do not come to your direct sales blog, then there is no activity.

  • Create incoming links from social sites by sharing snippets of articles on your blog in social sites.
  • Comment on other peoples blogs (like this one) and put your url in the box that asks for it.
  • Promote your blog offline at shows
  • Get people to your blog!!

Be A Direct Seller… Shop Direct Sales

Support Home Business Owners Shop Direct Sales

Imagine if every direct seller bought half their holiday gifts from another direct seller!

What would that do for the industry! WOW!

Holiday Shopping With Direct Sales

With the holidays fast approaching, it’s time to start shopping. Many shoppers don’t think twice about where they make their purchases, and go the generic retail route to fulfill the wish lists of all their family and friends. But if a person were to think of any direct sales consultants they know before they shop, they would know they were in for a real treat.

Why shop direct sales over retail?

For starters, direct selling is beneficial to both the customer and the home-based business owner.

When a person shops via direct sales, they are able to get that one-on-one customer contact that enables them to purchase exactly what they want based upon their needs and personality.

Also, a person who pursues direct selling for their shopping needs gets the added bonus of acquiring unique purchases that they can’t find in any retail store. The home-based business benefits as well with a positive sale that can keep them in business for years to come.

What’s even better about direct selling when shopping is the fact that a person gets to choose from items that they like, and be kept in mind for future purchases. Any owner of a home-based business knows that their customers are their bread and butter when it comes to direct sales, which means any person who shops directly can be treated like royalty every time they want to make a purchase. They can even get placed on a mailing list so they can receive updates when items become available that they may show interest in based on past purchases.

Direct Selling Avoids Crowds!

No one likes the hassle of shopping during the holidays. The crowds, the lack of personal connection with service, and too much advertisement to entice people to buy, buy, buy in the retail industry is enough to make anyone’s head spin. To the retail industry, a person is just a wallet looking to fork over their money. For a more relaxing shopping experience that allows you to feel welcome, wanted, and lets you know your money is supporting small business, give direct sales shopping a try, and change the way you shop forever.

Direct Sales Companies I Love!

I love all direct sales companies but I have a Pin Board called Direct Sales Companies I Love and it is the “mall” for direct selling.

Head on over there and buy a gift from a direct seller to support a home business owner!

—-> NOTE: I am not a consultant for any of the companies on the Pin Board….
I am only encouraging you to support each other!
